About Ayurveda
Tranquility Wellness understands that Ayurveda is a profound system of viewing the body as it’s own unique individual constitution. Every person contains a combination of all Five Elements that influence the unique expression of who they are. By understanding and balancing the Five Elements we are able to balance the state of our physical body in relation to our environment and restore a deeper connection to our physical Body, Mind and Spirit. When we gain a deeper connection within ourselves, we regain peace and harmony. By assessing the unique combination through Ayurvedic science, we are able to create a customized approach and provide a variety of services to the process of healing and restoring balance to the individual.
Ayurveda is an Elemental system comprised of Three Doshas and Five Elements.
The Three Doshas are:
Vata — Ether + Air. Responsible for motion, such as breath, circulation, heartbeat
Pitta — Fire + Water. Responsible for transformation, such as turning food into energy
Kapha — Water + Earth. Responsible for formation and growth, such as the formation of muscle or hair.
The Five Elements are:
Ether or the concept of “Space between things”
Air or the concept of “Motion”
Fire or the concept of “Transformative Processes”
Water or the concept of “Fluidity”
Earth or the concept of “Solidity”
Through the Ayurvedic process we can integrate and cultivate a deeper awareness and understanding around what we do, how we take care of ourselves and how we relate to the elements of the world.
Ayurveda promotes the process and achievement of self empowerment, self awareness and self compassion as we rediscover our interconnection with the natural world and its rhythmic cycle so that we may bring more love and awareness to the world.
